Concrete Park – Fact Sheet


Selected as one of the Best American Comics 2013 and appearing in the collection of that name to be published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.

Created by Tony Puryear, Erika Alexander  and Robert Alexander. Tony Puryear is the screenwriter of Eraser. Erika Alexander is the award-winning actress and star of TV series like Living Single and the critically-acclaimed AMC series Low Winter Sun. Robert Alexander is a science fiction writer in Venice, CA.

Co-written, drawn and colored by Tony Puryear, in his first foray into graphic novels.

Co-written by Erika Alexander, who won kudos for her controversial “Mad Men script with negroes”, Uptown Saturday Night.

A vast science-fiction story world with unforgettable characters.

Published by Dark Horse Comics in their legendary anthology Dark Horse Presents, beginning with their Dec, 2011 issue (#7). Dark Horse Comics is the leading independent comics publisher, with iconic titles that have been turned into successful film franchises including Hellboy, 300, Sin City and R.I.P.D.

Appearing in serialized 8-page installments at first, Concrete Park will debut in 2014 in its own regularly scheduled book.

Concrete Park is edited by Dark Horse founder and Publisher Mike Richardson.

    Don’t forget Asian, Latino, Hispanic…The list continues. A large percentage of people of color are missing from media.
